Well, if you’ve got chronic lower back pain or have recently injured your back, abdomen, hamstrings or glutes, then the superman might not be the best exercise for you. Better to play it safe and check with your doctor first.
Squat Jumps: Start in a standing position with your feet shoulder-width apart and your arms at your sides. Bend your knees and lower yourself into a squat position, then jump up explosively and reach for the sky with both hands. Land softly back in the squat position to complete one rep.
Push-Ups: Begin in a plank position with your hands slightly wider than shoulder-width apart and your feet together. Lower yourself down until your chest touches the ground, then push back up to complete one rep.
Burpees: Start standing with feet hip-width apart and arms at sides, then drop into a squat position while bringing both hands to the floor just outside of each foot. Jump both feet back into a plank position, then jump them forward again so you’re back in the squat stance before jumping up explosively while reaching for the sky with both hands to complete one rep.
Mountain Climbers: Begin in a plank position on your toes with shoulders over wrists and core engaged, then bring one knee towards chest while keeping hips low before switching legs quickly to complete one rep
Superman Holds: Lie face down on an exercise mat or other flat surface with arms extended out straight above head and legs extended out straight behind body (like Superman flying). Engage core muscles as you lift arms, chest, thighs off ground as high as possible without arching lower back or lifting
